Whitley Cox’s Curiously Kinky Blog
List the dates you have available or are willing to feature people on your blog, your genre and a link so other authors can check it out.
If you only want to make Mondays and Fridays available to make it easy on yourself, that’s cool too.
List the genres you are willing to accept. That way people who write in a genre you’re not comfortable with or don’t have an audience for don’t bother.
Be flexible. If you can’t accept someone on one day, offer up another day, or feature two people. Nobody likes rejection, so let’s try our best to make it work.
If you can, offer a swap. Some people have very busy blogs and are unable to swap as often as others, but don’t just take.
Once you’ve agreed on a date, it’s up to you and the blogger to communicate and email the information back and forth. The blogger must send you the permalink and date so that you can promote. The blogger must also remember to promote you on that day. Buffer or ITTT are good for this.
Blogs are a great way to increase SEO and also forge relationships with other authors, gain followers and devoted readers.
Don’t be afraid to get creative. If you want to devote every Monday to menage, go for it! Every Friday to “Freaky Friday” where you feature extra hot, extra steamy excerpts and teasers, DO IT!
